Attila Levin came back with a bang, at the age of 42, outpointing strong, durable and very much younger (28) Marios Kollias of Greece at ”The Clarion Post Hotel” in Gothenburg, Sweden this passed Friday (April 19th). The bout went the full distance (four rounds) and Kollias produced a very tough challenge, having the Swede in some sort of trouble in round three, just pouring it on, with Levin defending himself in the corner. Attila fought through it though and rightfully nicked the verdict. Afterwards he announced his retirement from boxing, saying he just came back because he really, really, wanted that last win on his record. Overall he did well, looked like ”the old days”, and can be proud of himself, the crowd just loved it. Middleweight, Oliver Flodin moved to 5-1 with a confident performance against Nodar Tskhovrebadze of Georgia. The Swede really showed his opponent who was the boss, jabbing and moving, in and out, outboxing him, like a true champ. After four intense rounds Flodin was way ahead on the scorecards and got the victory like he deserved.
Hamza Barka, another local middleweight, handled cocky and very tough Georgian Tengiz Ubilava in a spirited four rounder. The Gothenburg fighter used his Superior footwork, dancing his way out of trouble and hitting with pretty accurate punches this time. Clearly his best performance so far as a professional. He is 2-1 now and could, definitely, have a few more good fights, and, probably, a decent career ahead of him if he continue to improve like that!
