Like ”out of the blue” an oppurtunity showed up that retired former WBC- superwelterweight champion, Mikaela Laurén (trained by Wally Munteanu) couldn’t say no to, when undefeated Canadian IBF World champion Marie Eve Dicaire offered her a shot at the title, with only two weeks notice to get in fighting shape, super-tough circumstances, but Laurén accepted the deal and is now in Canada with her team for the final preperations. Mikaela definitely have the experience, the ”know how” and the needed motivation to grasp this ”once in a lifetime opportunity” to be champ once again even though she now is 43 years old, (compared to the champion who is only 32), and for a while ago was fully conviced the Boxing days were over and done with. Clearly they weren’t and now, just days before the bout she seems fitter and happier than ever before. Will Sweden and Mikaela add another World Title belt to her collection?
