Last week Wally Munteanu´s training headquarters "Träningskompaniet" in Kungsbacka, Sweden almost transformed into a "Maywether Boxing Gym-like / Vegas-looking scene", crawling with talented fighters sparring each other.
Soon to be professional, Swedish amateur stand out, Oliver Flodin, a talented middleweight managed by Munteanu, was there, sparring with professional Romanian Marius Dumitru (21) who was especially brought in just to prepare him for his professional debut on the big Team Sauerland-card (Yigit vs Martin) at Solna-Hallen in, Stockholm, Sweden, September 30th, and a selected fighter, pro (0-1-1) from Alingsås, Sweden, Tijan Kabbeh, originally from Gambia but now fighting with Sweden as base, helped out with a couple of rounds as well.
Flodin really got to sweat and had a great workout. In addition to that, Mikaela Laurén was also back on the west coast with trainer Munteanu, in full training preparing for her highly prestigious rematch against Cecilia Braekhus on the 21st of October at the "Oslofjord Convention Center" in Stokke, Norway.
The Norwegians five World Championship belts will be at stake, (The Big Five - WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF & IBO). Laurén sparred with Sauerland stable mate and good friend, Patricia Berghult, an undefeated (8-0, 2 KO.s), junior welterweight professional on her way to the top, also preparing for an upcoming bout in the months to come.
It really had an atmosphere of a good old US professional boxing gym. Oliver liked it, Mikaela, Liked it and the trainer himself, of course loved it. This is what boxing is all about!
