It was a spectacular night of boxing at Harry's night club (Sliver) in Jönköping, Sweden, Saturday night (10/6). It was stacked with actionpacked boxing and the crowd got their money's worth. The show started with three quality amateur fights, which was not bad at all, it featured local stars, Oliver Flodin, Erik Berglund and Paolo Magui, they all delivered good showings and proved to be excellent appetizers for what was to come later in the evening. Unfortunately Gothenburg welterweight, Daniel Hartvig in the c.o. main event, with Wally Munteanu in his corner, had an off night against a tough and very clever French boxer by the name of Bernard Follea, who tricked him into his kind of fight. Daniel, like always, kept coming forward but was countered hard all night long. It was painful to watch and when the end came (a KO) in the sixth and final round it wasn't much of a surprise. Hartvig got a raw deal against this guy and couldn't get his style to work. Credit to him though for trying. The playfullness (footwork and feeling for the sport), and the sharp, stiff, punches from the Frenchman was what rendered him the victory. Patricia Berghult, Robin Safar, Mohammed Saleh, and hometown hero Sander Lauritsen all scored wins and very much like Hartvig and Follea entertained the crowd with fine impressive performances. Nobody left the nightclub disappointed. A cool event definitely!
