Although the opposition wasn't what Mikaela Lauren had hoped for, she still delivered a solid performance against late substitute, Kita Watkins from the US on Team Sauerland's "Nordic Fight Night" in Sundsvall, Sweden Saturday night (22/4).
Mikaela Lauren controlled the fight from start to finish, she won every round (all six) and seemed to have "done her homework" to perfection. The 41 year old former WBC-champ showed up in excellent shape, and it was obvious she was the superior one of the two. "She was a whole lot better than I thought" Mikaela admitted to the press afterwards, still pretty content under the circumstances, and will now, firmly set her focus on getting that title opportunity she missed out on this passed weekend. The Polish champ can't duck her forever!
